St. Jude CAAM (Catholic Alcohol & Addiction Ministry)
The St. Jude Catholic Church Catholic Alcohol and Addictions Ministry (CAAM) conducts a topical discussion meeting for parties interested in the diseases of alcoholism and addiction, either as a hybrid in-person and/or online Zoom meeting. The meeting is for those who feel that they, or someone they know, may have an alcohol or addiction problem. This is an “open” meeting (meaning anyone can attend), but where anonymity of those attending is honored. While they conduct their meeting similar to the AA traditions, St. Jude CAAM is not affiliated with AA, NA, or addiction-specific organization. Their purpose is to guide those who suffer from alcoholism or addiction, and their family and friends, toward recovery. This meeting is held on Saturdays from 9:15 am to 10:15 am.
MANY DALLAS AREA CATHOLIC PARISHES HAVE SPECIFIC SPIRITUAL AND/OR MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT PROGRAMS IN PLACE, SUCH AS STEPHEN MINISTRY, GRIEF SUPPORT GROUPS, ETC.
Mental Health & Autism Insurance Project
Their mission is to assist people with autistic spectrum and mental health conditions obtain the health care services that they need in order to maximize their potential. They file appeals and grievances on behalf of individuals/families seeking mental health treatments and autism treatments on a sliding scale fee. MHAIP has had success in obtaining insurance coverage for medically necessary residential, partial hospital programs, and intensive outpatient treatments for adolescents and young adults with mental health conditions.
The group also will handle regulatory intervention and external reviews with state regulators. They does this by fielding questions from the public, offering seminars to the public, educating legislators and regulators on laws that will protect these populations, and providing direct services to assist families with obtaining single case agreements, writing appeals and requesting regulatory intervention. They also help providers and the facilities that serve them by offering pre and ongoing authorizations, appeal writing, billing (for facilities), collecting unpaid claims, and other services, as needed.

Parents Love Their Teens

Your child may be going through something they do not understand. PARENTS LOVE THEIR TEENS is a Nationwide Parent Advocate Organization to help parents find the right options for the right reasons for their struggling teens. Consultations are always free.
Intervention programs are therapeutic boarding schools, residential treatment centers, or summer programs designed to remove a teenager from harmful environments, provide structure, and shape positive behavior. Different programs have different philosophies and levels of therapy, which we can walk you through. Parents Love Their Teens also works with in-home coaching programs. We may recommend in-home coaching if it would benefit your teen better than an intervention program.
